The story itself was magnificent and riveting. The narrator was good, but not nearly as expressive and read far too slow with needlessly long pauses and in something close to monotone. The narrator of a study in scarlet and the hound of Baskerville was much more expressive and effective in bringing the suspense and mystery of the story out and in plunging one into the story to the point where one could almost imagine watching it happen.
