A swashbuckling story told from a wife's perspective. An intersting twist and well told! Karen Savage, who does the Librevox recorded version of thos book is simply spectacular! She's worth hearing, whatever you think of the book!

Prior to reading this book, the only notion of "The Scarlet Pimpernel" I had, was of the swashbuckling Daffy Duck playing this same character in a Looney Tunes cartoon! The cartoon was great and so is this book. It takes place during the 'Time of Terror' of the French Revolution and tells of a cunning Englishman who defies the revolutionaries as he attempts to save aristocrats from the blade of the guillotine. A thoroughly enjoyable story!

This book shows the time in the past of the french revolution. It shows how the author embraces the past. I think the author should continue with this genre and keep on going. :-)

I so enjoy the ease of writing here and the subtle understanding of human nature. This understanding, so beautifully presented, is what makes this series a memorable classic.

The Scarlet Pimpernel is about a man who travels Europe rescuing French aristocrats from the Reign of Terror. It's very well written. The hero is like a less-violent version of Batman.

A real page turner. Although somewhat predictable, there's enough suspense and intrigue to keep you guessing
