The story could have been much stronger without the pop-culture references and would have been given a higher rating; however, this may appeal to some readers how these particular elements are integrated. It does seem to tangent into some interesting hallucinations and non-sensical language for no reason, but interesting nonetheless. "Abduction from Oz" reads like a free-writing exercise for a Creative Writing class; or an improvised bed-time story by a highly-imaginative parent. Fun. Entertaining. Silly. Emotional. Quick.

Periodic hilarious incongruities, great spoof of the Wizard of Oz, and it all ends with a very emotional story within the story.
