Mansfield Park is Jane Austen's 1814 novel featuring one Fanny Price, a young woman with no social power. She barely exists, even to the people she knows - and her family generally keeps in her place. When Fanny rejects the proposal of a suitor, she's in danger of getting banished from her beloved Mansfield Park. And when scandal and illness strikes the family, does Fanny have a chance at true love?

To be fair, fans of Austen's other works might not like Mansfield Park as highly. It's almost as if it's written by someone else at parts. The writing brilliant of course, but lacking much of the humor - and the work is on the darker side. That said there is a lot more 'action' as opposed to dialogue and narrative. Such as with the arrival of Sir Thomas, which will certainly shock the reader, knowing what he is about to catch his children in the middle of.
