What can I say, great story, well written, creative , good ending. Just wish every page was not missing a line.

This is the fifth book of the Barsoom (Mars) series. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of them and can only wish that this library included the other books which follow this one.

I, like Sidney, am transported back 50 years or so, when my $0.50 per week allowance was spent transporting me to the thrilling worlds of Edgar Rice Burroughs. My iPad now allows for the the same and is ever at hand. Various reviewers insist that these tales are merely for YA. The level is, however, not based on the current Young Adults with the lower educational standards. Regardless, they are still fantastic tales!

This book takes me back fifty years to my youth. Now I see the simplicity of the story but care not as I enjoy being taken back in time!

Fun read - I was introduced to these books as a child by my Uncle Freddie - I'm retreading them in memory of him and enjoying them very much. Surprising how much I've forgotten about the books but they are all fun if you like Science Fiction.
