A very interesting diary. The writer is unashamedly egocentric and his adult son no more than a childish lout. Mr. Pooter has no trouble telling us about his son's misadventures anymore than he has trouble telling us what his latest annoyance is. Refreshing in a strange way.

Amazingly hilarious. If you love Victorian literature and you're after something light, less serious, this novella is for you ! If you love Oscar Wildes humorous plays, you'll love this. My only criticism is that it was too short !
