From the first page i was stymied. The whole book is about a sport, played in a boys'school, not even referred to by any name until several pages in when it is called "football". But the positions and the plays seldom sound like football at all. I guess it must be cricket . There are bats involved......Having said that, i still enjoyed the book at bedtime when Wodehouse's lyrical writing and tongue-in-cheek humor never fails to lull me to sleep with a smile on my face.....but that's just me. :)
