Excellent book. A mormon woman stands up to the evil in the town of very corrupt men including other church leaders.

Tough time with a tough woman going against an entire town that raised her. The heroine is an amazingly strong Mormon woman that fights against all that is wicked and wrong in the town and religion. Adventure, drama, and descriptive scenes that gives the reader a real image of this terrain surrounding this great read.

I loved this book. Zane Grey had introduced me to the literature of the American Westerns in my teens. Somehow I missed this one among all the paperbacks I read so many years ago. The reader did a marvelous job!

Slow to get into it , but loved it. Very well read, great story about absolute power absolutely corrupting. A classic story but setback in time w different expectations of women , church doctrine, greed,power and what justice amounts to in the face of that.
